Order Your Repeat Prescription Online

Repeat Prescriptions

Please give at least 48 hours notice for repeat prescriptions.

Our preferred method for you to request repeat prescription is online via the link at the top of this page (click here for information about how to register)

Alternatively please use the computerised repeat slip from your last prescription or order via your pharmacy.

We do not take prescription requests over the phone.

If you are signed up for electronic prescriptions your prescription can be sent to a pharmacy of your choice.

Please note that if you request a prescription for medication that has not been given to you on a regular basis the doctor may need to see you.

Electronic Prescription Service

We have made significant improvements to our prescription service to make life easier for our patients.

Please ask your pharmacist to register you for electronic prescriptions, or alternatively ask when you are next in the surgery.

For further information about electronic prescriptions please click here.

Repeat Prescription Awareness –

Our practice is collaborating with NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA) which is providing NHS numbers for those patients that may be suitable for electronic repeat dispensing prescriptions. The information is obtained from NHS prescriptions submitted to the NHSBSA.

We would like to draw your attention to the wastage that is happening in your NHS by the over ordering and stock piling of medications that are going out of date. This is more commonly the case with oral supplements, which are not only very expensive, but have a limited self life.

Please inform your pharmacist if you do not require any more supplements in your next prescription and work through the ones you have whilst they are in date. We are all responsible for ensuring this wastage is addressed – many thanks.

For information, here are some examples of the most commonly stockpiled medications and their cost:-

Seretide 25- Evohaler (120) doses – £60.61

Nutramigen Lipil 1 (400g) – £12.12

Fortisip bottle (200ml x 56) – £79.53
