Named GP

All our patients at Southbourne Surgery have a named accountable GP, their name will be notified to you at registration. Please be assured that this is for the overview of your care within the practice, you are always free to see any doctor you wish.

The Summary Care Record (SCR) is a secure electronic record used in the NHS that contains key health information such as medicines, allergies, and adverse reactions, to help healthcare professionals give you safe care especially in emergencies. Most patients are automatically opted in, but you have a choice. You can opt out at any time if you don’t want an SCR created or shared, or you can choose to have additional information included if you wish. Your care will not be affected by your decision, and you stay in control of your data.
